Periotape flossing ribbon has been developed by Westone Products and a team
of polymer scientists. It combines PTFE technology and dental expertise
in providing the most advanced floss product currently available.
Periotape's purpose is to increase public commitment to regular
flossing.
Periotape is made from Dentolene, the only
polytetrafluoroethylene fibre (PTFE) designed specifically for dental
floss. It has these key advantages:
Periotape slides easily between even the tightest contact points.
Periotape is a single fibre so it does not shred.
If Periotape breaks, it does so cleanly. No annoying filaments are left trapped between the teeth.
Dentolene is an exceptionally soft form of PTFE which prevents damage to periodontal tissue.
Dentolene requires no wax coating, hence Periotape's unique "clean feel". Teeth (and hands) feel clean after use because no waxy residue is left behind.
